Ashley Jones McDonald, LCSW

Ashley utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) as her approach to treatment with individuals and families she works with, mainly because of its ability to treat a wide array of issues, ranging from difficulty sleeping or interpersonal relationship issues; to trauma or anxiety; and depression. This treatment option works by assisting individuals to become aware of their harmful behaviors and negative attitudes by focusing on their distorted thoughts and beliefs. Ashley effectively coaches her patients to relate to the way they behave as a way of coping with emotional problems and traumatic experiences.

Ashley is a wife, mother and New Orleans native. She has experience working in medical, community based, residential and impatient care settings as a social worker and is passionate about helping others. Ashley is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and attends various trainings throughout the year to stay abreast of treatment modalities. Outside of work, Ashley loves travelling, spending quality time with her family, listening to music, cooking and eating Cajun and Creole dishes and watching action, crime, and mystery tv shows and movies.
