Chase Shook, MD

Growing up in Hiawassee, Georgia, Chase Shook, MD, watched his family make serving others a priority. Whether helping neighbors with a home project or giving back to the community in a number of ways, those examples stayed with him and eventually led him to medicine. Now, he's returning to northeast Georgia to continue that tradition as he joins Northeast Georgia Physicians Group Dahlonega to provide primary care.

Dr. Shook earned his bachelor’s degree from UNG. While there, he also volunteered in the emergency department at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville, continuing to serve the community even while in college. He went on to earn his medical degree from Mercer University in Macon and recently completed his family medicine residency nearby at Atrium Health Navicent, where he served as co-chief resident.

When he's not caring for patients at work, Dr. Shook enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, as well as kayaking, golfing, and being outdoors.
