Kamil Arif, MD

Dr. Kamil Arif is an interventional radiologist and Lead of Interventional Radiology at Northeast Georgia Health System. He is committed to providing minimally invasive, image-guided treatments that offer patients effective alternatives to traditional surgery, with an emphasis on compassionate, personalized care.

Dr. Arif completed both his Diagnostic Radiology residency and Interventional Radiology fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where he developed expertise in the full spectrum of vascular and interventional procedures. His clinical interests include liver-directed therapies for cancer, embolization procedures, venous interventions, dialysis access management, image-guided biopsies and drainage procedures, as well as advanced minimally invasive treatments for a wide variety of conditions.

He believes interventional radiology is more than a procedural specialty—it is a clinical practice built on listening to patients, understanding their goals, and partnering with them throughout their care. Dr. Arif strives to ensure that every patient fully understands their diagnosis and treatment options, taking the time to answer questions and develop individualized care plans.

As Lead of Interventional Radiology, Dr. Arif is passionate about expanding patient access to innovative therapies while building a comprehensive, multidisciplinary interventional radiology service that emphasizes quality, safety, and exceptional patient outcomes. He works closely with referring physicians across multiple specialties to provide timely consultations and coordinated care.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Arif enjoys spending time with his wife and children, hiking, home renovation projects, and exploring new technologies that improve patient care.
