Kate Bass, LCSW

Kate Bass has been with NGPG since 2016, and is a compassionate, non-judgmental and thoughtful therapist. Kate’s expectation for her work is not to “cure” patients of their conditions, but to help them develop the insight, skills and confidence to effectively manage symptoms when they arise. Most conditions respond well to Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, which Kate blends with Motivational Interviewing, Supportive Therapy, aspects of Cognitive Processing Therapy and Psychoeducation. She welcomes adults who are struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression and panic. She is also skilled at helping patients process and reframe traumatic experiences and grief or loss. She is an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community and provides a safe space for all who seek her care.

Kate encourages her patients to engage in mindfulness practices and to make space in their lives for fun and relaxation. In her personal life, Kate cultivates joy through gardening, exercise, reading, exploring her community and spending quality time with her husband and two young children.
