Ralph Ables III, LCSW

Ralph Everett Ables, III, has been with NGPG since 2019, and is an empathetic, non-judgmental and welcoming therapist. Ralph hopes to form a beneficial, therapeutic alliance with his patients, in which they feel safe and heard, yet motivated to take positive action in their daily lives. Most conditions respond well to Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, which Ralph blends with Supportive Therapy, Psychoeducation and aspects of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, while encouraging the ongoing development of greater mindfulness. He welcomes adults and adolescents ages 15 and older who are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief and adjustment disorders. He is also trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to help patients overcome past trauma and PTSD. He is an ally of the LGBT+ community, a native speaker of both English and Spanish and provides a safe space for all who seek his care.

Ralph encourages his patients to engage in mindfulness practices and to set achievable, daily goals to improve physical, emotional and spiritual self-care. In his personal life, Ralph also prioritizes his self-care, volunteers in the community and thrives on listening to and creating music. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and two young daughters.
