Rami Arfoosh, MD

Dr. Rami Arfoosh earned his medical degree from Damascus University and completed his fellowship at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and Wayne State University. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Sleep Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Pulmonary Disease.

Dr. Arfoosh moved to Georgia and founded Pulmonary and Sleep Specialists of Northeast Georgia in 2010. He is currently a Clinical Associate Professor and instructor for medical students at the Medical College of Georgia and the Georgia Campus of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Arfoosh also serves on faculty with Northeast Georgia Medical Center's Graduate Medical Education program.

For several years, Dr. Arfoosh has been actively involved in conducting trials in pulmonary diseases. He serves as principal investigator on several studies and has published several abstracts and papers in pulmonary and sleep medicine. He has also received several awards of recognition. 

He is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and serves as the Medical Director of the Respiratory Department for Northeast Georgia Health System. 
Dr. Arfoosh's professional interests include management of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases, Asthma, Sleep Breathing Disorders, Bronchiectasis, Interstitial Lung Disease and early detection of lung cancer.
