Syed Areej Alam, MD

Areej Alam, MD, is a physician with Northeast Georgia Physicians Group Palliative Care. She earned her medical degree (MBBS) from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, and is ECFMG certified in the United States.

Dr. Alam completed her Internal Medicine Residency at The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education in Scranton, Pennsylvania, followed by a Palliative and Hospice Medicine Fellowship at NYC Health and Hospitals - Lincoln Medical Center in the Bronx, New York.

Her clinical background also includes experience in family medicine, cardiothoracic surgery electives, and quality improvement initiatives during training. Dr. Alam is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care and building strong relationships with her patients to support their health and well-being.
