Zachary Senders, MD

Zachary Senders, MD, is a fellowship-trained surgical oncologist with Northeast Georgia Physicians Group who specializes in the multidisciplinary treatment of complex cancers. He has completed fellowships in Complex General Surgical Oncology and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) Surgery at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where he also earned a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation Sciences.

Dr. Senders provides advanced surgical care for patients with melanoma, sarcoma, gastrointestinal cancers, liver tumors, pancreatic and bile duct diseases, and colon and rectal cancers, with particular expertise in complex hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) and liver cancers. 

His surgical expertise includes minimally invasive robotic and laparoscopic procedures, liver and pancreatic surgery, and cytoreductive surgery with HIPEC (Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy). 

Dr. Senders believes cancer care is never one-size-fits-all. He works closely with referring providers and a multidisciplinary team to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's diagnosis, goals, and needs. Known for his straightforward communication and compassionate approach, he helps patients navigate their cancer journey with clarity, confidence, and a clear plan for care.
